  1. After hearing about the bad runoff from Dagwood’s farm I walked over there to find a huge chain-link fence. On the other side I saw giant machines uprooting the earth and churning out smoke that blotted out the sky!
  2. I looked around for a while, puzzled—but I couldn’t find a gate. I was just about to leave.
  3. Then I turned to see a man in a blue uniform behind me, pointing a gun right at my head!

    1. Security Officer

Hit the ground, dirt-bag! You’re under arrest!

    2. Appleseed

      oh diggity darn

  4. He me pushed down in the dirt, and handcuffed me.

    Security Officer (off panel)

You’re being restrained for your own dignity!

  5. After I got booked, numbered, striped, and thrown into a cell, I stood near the bars again until I saw a guard pass by.

    1. Appleseed

Can I at least have some water?

    2. Guard

You watch a lot of TV, don’t you?

    3. Appleseed

      Only because you make me

  6. Then I met my cell-mate, a friendly seven-foot-tall bald guy in dingy prison stripes, with ravenous eyes and green teeth.

    Garm

Everything but my hypothalamus has been removed.
